Peg Perego

After some very long and hard thinking, we have decided to go ahead to invest in a new Peg Perego stroller. Our existing Maclaren XT seems to be unsuitable for newborns like Mei Mei even though it was indicated to be so. Because she is so light, we have to be extra careful that the stroller doesn't tilt backwards. Also, the 5-point strap seems to be too big and uncomfortable for her tiny shoulders and I am a little paranoid that she would slip out of the stroller anytime if we don't strap her down.

I had not heard of Peg Perego until a mommy at Ying Ying's playclub gave me good feedback on the stroller for her newborn son. I had asked her about it because I thought her stroller looked quite impressive and 'powerful'. She said she paid about $900+ for it but it was worth every cent. I suppose it cost her that much because she bought the bassinet attachment as well which cost about $300 I think.

This one we have gotten is the latest 2008 model. I had contemplated getting a 2007 model because it was available in pink (I am quite a sucker for pastel pink stuff for baby girls) but the salesgirl said the 2008 model is supposed to have better suspension and other improved details which I can't recall now. Eventually, I decided not to be superficial and settle for this light brown one whose name is called elegance. And elegant indeed it is. :)
