I can't believe I hadn't tried Delifrance Amazing Deal muffins until last Sunday. It was amazingly good! So soft, crumbly and tasty! I must say they are one of the best muffins I ever tried. The best thing is - it cost only $1.20!!! And the portion is amazingly huge too! I couldn't resist buying the muffins when I passed by Delifrance yesterday at TMC (we took Mei Mei there for her second dose of Hep B vaccination^). But they only have chocolate ones and it didn't quite taste as good as the plain ones which has dessicated coconut added in (I think). Later, I passed by Delifrance at KK* and this time they have the plain ones!! Greedy me decided to get 2 more even though the thought of munching down 4 muffins seemed quite gross. I feel fat even as I think about it now. But heck, I have eaten one for supper and I am saving the rest for breakfast and tea later on. Heehee....
^ I had wanted to get her vaccinated at a polyclinic just like what Ying Ying went through last time but stubborn husband insisted we followed up with the same pediatrician who did her 1-week checkup since he would have "all her records". I was quite reluctant because a jab is a jab. Why must go through a pd? Waste $ only. True enough, the bill came up to $90. I don't mind waiting a while more at the poly to save the money man! I am not sure how much it would cost to jab at the poly but surely not more than $30!
* Went to KK just to get cotton balls to clean Mei Mei's bottom. Poor Mei Mei developed nappy rash last week after prolonged use of wet wipes. :( Think she may be allergic to the chemicals found in the wipes. So we decided to switch to using cotton balls which are more skin-friendly and economical than wet wipes. The good wipes like Johnson & Johnson are so expensive while cheaper ones like Pigeon and Tollyjoy are too harsh to her sensitive skin. KK pharmacy sells the cheapest and biggest cotton balls by far ($1 for 50 balls). I bulk purchased 20pkts bcos we use about 1/2 pkt a day! Hmm...I wonder what our parents use to clean after us when we were young... surely they can't afford wet wipes and cotton balls in those times? Any idea?? And what do you use to clean after your little ones? Pls share!

haha very expensive leh.all my tuition fees go down to cotton balls if i buy those you mention!LOL.anyway ian also had nasty rash after confinement lady used SALT water to wash his buttocks, saying it disinfects.gosh after that his buttocks was so red and actually got ulcer-like 'holes',craters!Poor thing. Then CL left and i just clean with water, using normal cotton,he healed in a day or two. Then after that i used wet wipes from pigeon.used the Desitin diaper cream. Then after a while i felt i was paying too much for wet wipes i just carry them to bathroom to use water to wash their buttocks!haha.Maybe thats what our parents did!I cant remember what my foster family did with me.i think use water also!maybe wait a while lah, since your girl is so sensitive.Maybe when she is older and can take normal wet wipes, you can use them then!:)
yah lor... v wasteful to use so many cotton balls. we used to use a few cotton balls at each nappy change. now we ration using only 1-2 only. For big poopoo, i'll just carry her to the sink to wash off. Cotton balls still cheaper than wipes lah. Will use wipes only when we go out. heehee...
