Husband's birthday falls on April Fool's Day. We celebrated the occasion with a simple mango cake from Bengawan Solo and an family outing to watch the Horton show at GV VivoCity. Yes, together with 3-week-old Mei Mei in tow. Heheheh...
The plan was that I would take Mei Mei out of the theatre and go shopping if she got frightened by the sound. But our fears were unfound because Mei Mei slept through it most of the time! Whenever she stirred, I just latched her on. Heheheh... But I missed about 15mins of the show cos she made a big poo in the middle of the show so I had to take her out to change. Fortunately, the ladies was just outside the theatre so it was very convenient.
Since Ying Ying was still under 0.9m, we needn't buy a ticket for her - yeah... save $$$!!! It was a weekday afternoon and there were plenty of vacant seats around so she still could have a seat if she wanted to. But it so happened that the seats we bought had people sitting on both sides (so suay!). Husband didn't want to move since Ying Ying was sitting quite comfortably on his lap. Next time I'll be wiser and book an aisle seat way right at the back so that I can move in and out easily with Mei Mei if need to and also position her stroller next to me.
Ying Ying enjoyed the show very much even though she was very tired - she slept only half an hour before we left (her usual naptime is 1.5hr). Horton was the second show Ying Ying has watched so far. The first one was Ratatouille at EW Suntec last September which she also enjoyed but fell asleep halfway through. Well, the Horton outing was a successful one - we'll definitely go on more family outings to the theatre in future! Heehee...
Kissing Papa...

Yummy!
