Shaping Up

Husband has been leading an 'exercise-less' lifestyle for a long time now. Gosh, I can't even recall when he exercised. Maybe playing a game of basketball with his friends a couple of years ago? Oh, I think it was the time when we attempted to follow this 12-wk exercise regime or body challenge plan (which we abandoned after a fortnight of 'torture').

Anyway, his neglect has been showing on his abdominal area. I often tease him about his expanding waistline (e.g. welcome to the uncle club) though I am not very slim myself. (I still look 6mth pregnant unfortunately, despite all the tandem breastfeeding.) Just the other day, I urged Ying Ying to 'listen' to her papa's tummy. She did so and was so amused to actually hear food churning inside. She laughed and said, "Hahaha...like bubbles....so funny..." :D

Anyway, with all the heated debate on organ trading in the news, I am beginning to feel the urgency for both of us to shape up and make time for real exercise. Housework doesn't really count (though tiring it may be) because it is not intensive to make us sweat. I am really hoping to lose some kg (of fats; not water) before I attend my cousin's wedding this Dec. But I know this is easier said than done, with 2 kids around to handle. Nevertheless, we have gotta start somewhere, right? Wish me luck!
