We bought a xylophone for Ying Ying about 4mths ago but she wasn't ready to learn how to play it then. Instead of hitting the notes with the sticks, she was more interested in playing with the sticks (and running off with them) most of the time and she even attempted to bite on the ends! So we only took out the xylophone whenever we wanted to 'perform' for her. After a while, we forgot about it because it was kept in the cupboard (out of sight, out of mind). Well, yesterday, I came across the xylophone again and decided to play for her again just for fun. Our friend heard me playing in the room and came running over. (Heheh) She was very excited to see the xylophone again and I showed her how to play. To my surprise, she could actually 1) hold the sticks properly and 2) hit the notes with the sticks with good accuracy! I am so happy! ^_^
