Took Ying Ying out for lunch yesterday at the Koufu food court at Punggol Plaza nearby our home. I think it is the most baby-friendly food court I have ever been to. Not only there are plenty of baby high chairs to go around (about 10 I think), there is also a playcorner complete with a swing and slide (installed recently) for children below 4. The playcorner is pretty well-maintained - I even saw a cleaner wiping the play surfaces using a special sanitiser spray the other day.
Ying Ying and the mischievous-looking boy
Don't you think this boy next to Ying Ying has a very mischievous look on his face? Yes, he is really a monkey!! He was really bold and kept climbing high and low. He even climbed onto the high parapet behind the playcorner. I didn't know until an older toddler tapped on my shoulder and reported his 'misdeed' to me, expecting me to do something about it. Well, he nearly fell but I caught him just in time. Where were his parents?! Turned out they were eating behind. (frown) When I praised him on his agility and superb climbing skills, he decided to impress me further by crawling in and out of a partially enclosed space. Then he started staring at my camera. For a while, I thought he was pondering whether to snatch for it! Phew! What a monkey. That's why I prefer girls to boys.
