Ying Ying took her first LRT train ride yesterday! Normally, I would walk and push Ying Ying on a stroller to the MRT from home because there is no LRT station near our block. But today, I decided to walk to Punggol Plaza first to run some errands (and to buy my favourite bubble tea :D) before taking the LRT there to the MRT station. I think Ying Ying was somewhat aware of the differences between the LRT and MRT train. When we entered the LRT, I could tell that she was surprised by the compact size of the LRT cabin compared to the long and spacious MRT . She kept staring at the people around her and looking up curiously at the scenery at LRT windows because it is always dark for the underground NE line which we travel frequently on.
On a personal note, I went for a well-deserved pedicure just now! I have to attend a wedding of an ex-colleague tonight and I couldn't stand the sight of wearing my nails plain (and ugly) in my classy heels. Have not done pedicure for close to two years already!! (I gave up painting my own nails many years ago - I hv a perfectionist streak and it took like forever to do it myself.) Anyway, it feels sooooo great having someone to pamper your toes. My toes feel so clean and smooth now. Heehee... Oh, btw I wore this pair of heels for my own wedding dinner too! I am so pleased that it is still in great sparkling condition - thanks to the brilliant swarovski crystals! What a good investment! Heehee...
