Drinking from Straw

Ying Ying drinking from her MagMag

Ying Ying finally figured out how to suck from the straw yesterday! She was so fascinated that she kept drinking and drinking. When she got tired of drinking, she started blowing bubbles into the bottle using the straw. Haha! I am so proud that my gal is learning new skills everyday. :)

Ying Ying stopped drinking from the bottle at around 9mths old. Since then, we have been feeding her water via a cup. Actually, I bought this MagMag straw water bottle for her more than 3mths ago. But she didn't know how to suck from the straw then so I had put it aside.

So everytime when we go out, we would carry her plastic cup in a ziplock and a separate water bottle around. It can be quite troublesome because whenever she needs to drink, we have to: 1) take out the cup from the ziplock 2) unscrew the water bottle cap and pour the water out from the bottle into the cup 3) put on a bib on her so that the water will not spill her top 4) get her to drink from the cup and finally 5) keep everything. Well, now that she knows how to suck from a straw, we will just pass her the straw water bottle. Easy! Heheh...
