Ying Ying's class did a theme on body parts last month and her stand-in English teacher gave each of them an A3-sized poster cut-out for them to assemble at home. So I helped cut up the pieces and laminated them so that they would be more durable. After a couple of practice and some guidance from me, Ying Ying was able to arrange the skeletal parts all by herself. I thought it was a good home activity to reinforce on the concept of X-ray and skeleton since our bones are not visible from our skin. Well, kids are learning so advanced these days - I don't recall doing such 'chiem' stuff at age 3+!
It also gave me great satisfaction to see her complete a learning task like that. I tell myself to always remember to set aside some time daily (no matter how short) to do such activities with her - so that my NPL is not wasted!!
