After our chickenpox trauma, husband declared he is going to get Ying Ying vaccinated against every disease under the sun to prevent any unneccessary suffering in future. Since Ying Ying will be attending preschool next month, I suggested getting her vaccinated next week since she may need some time to recover from the vaccination.
So two nights ago, I casually told Ying Ying, "Eh, now that you have finished all your classes, next week you go for your vaccination ok? You know, vac-ci-na-tion? To get vaccinated, you need to get in-jec-tion." For a moment, I thought Ying Ying wasn't listening (much less understanding what I was saying) cos she was busy playing. To my surprise, she paused for a while, looked up to me and exclaimed, "See doctor!" Ahhh... I didn't mention a word about doctor. How did she manage to associate injection with doctors??? Her last injection (a compulsory vaccination) was way back in February this year (she was only about 18mths then) and she could still remember!!!
Kids can sure amaze us when we least expected... :D
