Kinokuniya Bookweb Singapore

I have only been to Kinokuniya main bookstore a couple of times as I rarely frequent Takashimaya shopping mall. But I must say I am totally impressed with their efficient local book delivery service called Bookweb Singapore. They provide free delivery for book orders above $50 and orders are delivered on the following working day!

Imagine the time and $ spent if I were to travel all the way to their Orchard store! Prices seem to be reasonable too - on par with other bookstores. Too bad I am not a member otherwise I would have enjoyed even more savings!

This certainly beats Amazon hands-down where delivery from US to SG can be anywhere between 21-30 days! Not to mention the exorbitant shipping charges!

The 5 books I purchased are:
1) Sing you home by Jodi Picoult
2) Teach your child to read in 100 easy lessons by Siegfried Engelmann
3) Tillie and the wall by Leo Lionni
4) English made easy (Key Stage 1) by Carol Vorderman
5) English made easy (Preschool) by Carol Vorderman

The books came vacumm-sealed individually and it was such a pleasure to open them one by one!

p.s. I finished reading the Jodi Picoult novel within 3 days. I am a huge fan of hers - I have read every single of the 18 novels she wrote! This latest one is not the best in my opinion because the plot development towards the end felt rushed (as compared to the beginning) and ending was pretty predictable. Her other works like House rules, Handle with care, My sister's keeper, Plain truth, were more memorable and engaging. Thank goodness I am not working! I doubt I'll have the luxury of time to indulge in reading if I were a working mom.
