Ying Ying's former teacher passed me a huge craftwork folder during the Meet-the-Parents session we had last December. The folder contained all the art pieces Ying Ying had done for the second half of 2008.
I took pictures of them in case they be lost or destroyed in time to come. As I photographed each piece, I felt so glad to have sent Ying Ying to her current preschool in spite of its hefty price-tag. Her teachers' effort and creativity in the use of available resources clearly showed up in her interesting art pieces. JK was right afterall - they have a good and sound curriculum (letterland) to work on. I would never have the time and discipline to sit down with her to do all these creative things at home. Thank you so much, Ms Ruth and Li Laoshi! :)

Yeah, the teachers really take pride in their work..and they are so well done, must have taken a lot of effort..in Caleb's ex-kindy,i could see that little effort was made, one of the reasons i changed to the new kindy.I am on my 3rd year of NPL.Don't think i will return to teaching, probably not in a few years' time, means i may have to resign.not sure if can go back adjunct or do some other work when kids are older..for me,i think it is v impt a parent(preferably)/close relative is home for them in their growing years and since i dont have help and i dont want to leave them with maid,i can't go anywhere,LOL..my mom's stock...i actually dont know, she put in the abalone leftover brine,(which is quite unhealthy, lol)but i dont know the rest, will ask her and let u know ok!:)
Hey tyan, thanks for finding out the steamboat stock for me ya....with the ec downturn, we better eat more homecooked fd at home. haha....
Yes, her trs did put in a lot of effort. Guess it's part of the sch expectations based on the exorbitant sch fee they charge. Think the trs may also be more motivated in their work prob bcos they are being paid better than other kindys? (just a guess)
I am so torn about going back to work. I hv no probs with Faith cos I can always opt for full day prog over at her current sch. It's the little one I am more worried abt.
Both sets of our parents are getting on with age and I do not wish to relegate the responsibilities to a maid to feed/bathe/diaper her.
Think I may have to wait until the year Angie turns 3 (2011) before I can work with A PEACE OF MIND..... she will be of age to join Faith in sch then.
