Just came back from a check-up. I am shocked to learn that the baby is already 3.33kg now at 36wks. That's very close to Ying Ying's full-term (40wks) birth weight of 3.35kg. Gynae told me to watch my sugar intake if I want to have a vbac (vaginal birth after caesarian). He said it may be difficult for the baby to come out naturally if it gets too big. :(
Last time, I would be delighted to know if the baby is gonna be big. But now it is a different story altogether - I dread the prospect of going through another caesarian again as I took a really long time to recover. I could still feel the ache from the stitches months after the op.
So far, I have been eating as I pleased since the start of this pregnancy. Afterall, this is the only time you have an excuse to binge! In fact, I was even contemplating buying some D24 durians along Serangoon Rd after the check-up (since they say durians will make the baby fairer and chubbier). Looks like no more durians for now. Sigh! I better think twice before I pop a pineapple tart into my mouth, open a can of soft drink or get a second helping of a cake.
Still got another 4 wks to go before my EDD. Honestly, I don't think baby no. 2 will wait that long. There is not much space for her to grow, I think - my tummy is as hard as a rock now. Looks like we better get everything ready just in case the baby decides to come out early!
