Yesterday, Ying Ying said "sorrie" on her own accord! This was what happened exactly:
I was engrossed in reading the latest newsletter from BMSG(S) to find out what my friends and fellow members have written. As usual, Ying Ying got curious and wanted to see what I was reading. I told her to wait but she refused. What followed was a mini tug-of-war and suddenly the newsletter ripped apart loudly. I let out a cry of shock and dismay. We froze in position for about 5 seconds. Ying Ying then stepped back and to my surprise, she said "sorrie", without me telling her to do so!
I am so pleased because previously I always had to force her to say "sorrie" when something like that happened. For the first few times, she stubbornly refused to apologise and acted as if nothing had happened. But the day before yesterday, she ripped off something she knew was very precious to me. So she obediently repeated after me when I ordered her to say "sorrie" for like 4-5 times. That must have finally sunk into her that she has to apologise if she does damage to anything. :)
