Well! I have not blogged for almost 2 months now. My last entry was in Feb. Gosh! I didn't even blogged about meimei's 1st birthday in March. :/
The long absence was partly due to the faulty keyboard of my old laptop. No thanks to frequent banging by two excited girls, some keys including the spacebar, letters C, V, B, N, up/down arrow, have finally become insensitive. It was quite annoying to type - can you imagine typing without the spacebar function? I had to copy and paste and composing a simple email would take ages.
Luckily, husband has recently gotten a new mini laptop from his company so he could pass me his old one. But it took some time to get used to another laptop even though it was the same model as my old one. Anyway, I finally got down to calling Dell helpline on Monday and a courier came over to pick it up yesterday afternoon. They should deliver it back by end of this week. It felt good to get something done.
For the past month, I have also started taking meimei to her twice-a-week playnest class at Julia Gabriel (meant for 6-18mths) so I have been extremely busy. She was supposed to have gone yesterday but I decided to take her to see a GP because she had a bad cough and running nose. :(
It was her first time to miss the class. Frankly, I dislike the idea of missing classes because every class cost me about $50! But it would be highly irresponsible of me to take a sick child there and spread viruses around. There was once meimei attended the class with a running nose and mild cough (think it was her 3rd lesson) and I was quite embarrassed when the teacher dropped hints that I should not have brought her there. She didn't say it outright but she kept asking concerned questions like if she was on medication, what the doctor said, etc. (Hey, there were also a couple of kids with running nose what! I wonder if she had also talked to those parents...) Anyway, that's beside the point - I totally agree sick children should not attend class. No matter how much the class cost. :p
