Asian Civilisations Museum

I just read somewhere that every 2nd Sunday of the month is Asian Civilisation Museum's Sunday Family Fun. How cool! Yet another wkend excursion fun for Ying Ying. Must jote it down somewhere...

Honestly, I can't recall when was the last time I have been to there. Probably during JC days? I have some fuzzy memories of visiting an exhibition on Chinese History at a museum with two classmates yores ago. I was a History student you see. I was doing fairly ok for History in school until I sat for the real Cambridge paper. I took a risk and did some qns-spotting for History cos I wanted to focus on my two other weaker subjects - Lit and Economics. Well, the strategy backfired and the terrible elephant grade denied me an entry to uni right after the A levels. But it didn't kill my interest in History. I went on and studied History as a major when I finally got a chance to do a degree 3yrs later. Now thinking back, I have fond memories of my History lessons in uni and the lecturers despite having to rush from one assignment deadline to another. The irony? I don't teach History cos I am not trained in that area. So it's back to English and Home Economics again after taking History for like 2.5 yrs...
