I have a habit of buying things in bulk when there is a good discount. I always tell Ying Ying we should never to buy things at full price unless we need them immediately. This especially applies to thing we desire, like toys and clothings. It is better to wait and look out for the 4-letter word S-A-L-E. So whenever she asks me to buy her toys, the first thing I would ask is: is it on sale? Of course, the downside is that when there is a sale, it gives us a reason to spend!!! So that's why husband once described me as 'penny-wise, pound-foolish'.

The Great Singapore Sale started today. I recently bought some Nike sports apparels to inspire myself to start exercising and lose some flab. Regretted a bit cos would have gotten a 10% discount if I have waited for the GSS. Didn't think of that. Then again, maybe I wouldn't have gotten the size I want if I had waited. Well, win some, lose some!
