Bittergourd & Beancurd Soup

Saw Hao Ee cooking this on a Channel 8 programme sponsored by Diamond Water. Supposed to detoxify the body. I am not really into bittergourd but since it is so beneficial and easy to prepare, maybe I should try it one day!

Ingredients:
100g bittergourd - skinned & cut into sm pcs
250g soft beancurd - cubed
1/2 med onion - chopped
1 tbsp oil
900ml water
light soya sauce
salt to taste

Method:
1) Heat oil. Fry chopped onion till fragrant.
2) Add bittergourd and stir-fry.
3) Add soft bean curd. Fry gently so as not to break up the beancurd.
4) Pour in water gradually and bring to a boil. Add seasoning to taste.
5) Serve hot.
